The Volta Region is one of the SIXTEEN administrative Regions in Ghana. It contains all types of landscapes and vegetation that can be found in other parts of Ghana such as coast, lagoons, southern savannah, mountains, waterfalls and a large part of the Volta Lake. Because of its natural and cultural diversity, the Region is also called Ghana’s Microcosm.
In November, any one of the following settlements i.e. Kpeve, Tsohor, Klikor, and Tsibu – Klevinofe, which have blood relations celebrate their annual Zendo Glimetoza on a rotational basis. It is a colorful festival and is meant to renew their unity and loyalty to each other. Like most festivals, the last Saturday is devoted to a colorful durbar of chiefs and subjects, amid drumming, singing, and dancing.
